Consulting Services for Accessible Transportation Inc. (“CSAT” or “we” or “us”) are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers (“You”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes CSAT’s personal information privacy policies and practices with respect to the collection, use and disclosure of Your personal information. Our obligations and Your rights are subject to applicable legislation, including the terms of the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Personal information
Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual, such as Your name, email address, mailing addresses, financial information, travel document details, citizenship, gender, date of birth, information collected electronically through CSAT’s website, or CSAT’s mobile device application (“Mobile App”) and any other information provided to or collected by CSAT that identifies who You are. Personal information about You may be collected by CSAT directly or provided to CSAT by third parties, such as the CTA (Canadian Transportation Agency) or other transportation companies.
What personal information does CSAT collect?
CSAT limits the collection and use of Your information to the minimum we require to deliver requested information, products, or services to You. We collect information to provide and complete the transaction and service you requested, to ensure that we can contact you, to complete or provide help to corporate or consumer requests, to verify your identity for security and legal purposes, and to provide You with offers and information. We collect information to fulfill our business purposes (See “Release and Use of Personal Information”). We will keep Your information only for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. We may also collect personal information about You from our service providers and other third parties (as described below).
Assisting You and Information of Interest
CSAT is committed to complying with CASL and other privacy laws governing the protection of Your personal information, including your email address. By requesting services through the Website or the Mobile App or Social Media sites (Facebook, and Instagram), You are deemed to provide your consent to receive exclusive offers, promotions, and other commercial electronic messages from CSAT (“Promotional Messages”). You are also welcome to subscribe to our newsletters, blogs, and social enterprise community websites from CSAT by expressly indicating your desire to receive such information by joining our mailing list. If You have consented in one of the manners described above, CSAT will provide You from time to time with information, promotions and offers CSAT believes will be of interest to You. You may unsubscribe from such communications at any time by using the “unsubscribe” mechanism included at the bottom of each message. CSAT will process unsubscribe requests within 2 business days.
When You browse our website, we collect information including your internet protocol address, device type and browsing activity (See “Use of Cookies and Beacons”).
In addition to the foregoing, CSAT may use Your email address and/or mobile telephone number provided at the time of your request to facilitate your request with other transportation companies and federal organizations.
Applications For Employment
CSAT may post employment opportunities on the Website or otherwise advertise such opportunities. If You would like to apply for such employment opportunities, CSAT will ask for and collect Your name, address, email address, telephone number, employment history, education and other information that is relevant and related to Your application and the employment opportunity. CSAT will use the information submitted to assess Your application and contact You. CSAT may contact applicable third parties to verify any information submitted by You.
Third party bookings, changes to bookings and enquiries
If another person, including a family member, friend, or work colleague, seeks for assistance on your behalf, that person will be asked to provide us with the same personal information that we would normally collect from You directly to complete your request. We consider that person to have your consent and authorization to provide us with Your personal information for relevant purposes described in this policy – unless and until we are advised otherwise. In which case, we will ask you and the person(s) assisting to fill out an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). These will also be used for third party agreements, such as APPR and ATPDR cases.
How long does CSAT keep Your personal information?
We keep Your personal information for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or for a longer period if permitted or required by law. When no longer needed, personal information is destroyed, anonymized, or disposed of using secure methods.
Note that if Your personal information is collected by a third party, such as a hotel or car rental company, it will be kept in accordance with the privacy policies and records retention requirements of that third party.
Consent
When You provide CSAT with Your personal information to purchase travel or to request information or other services, You are providing CSAT your implied consent to collect and use Your information to fulfill the requested service or information.
If travel reservations are made through or by third parties, such as employers, travel agents or others, CSAT considers them to be authorized by You to disclose personal information about You to CSAT. Collection, use and disclosure by such other persons may also be subject to the privacy policies of such other persons. CSAT may be further contacted or contact such other persons to the extent necessary to process and confirm booking changes and otherwise facilitate Your travel arrangements and the provision of other information and services.
Alternatively, You may from time to time, provide CSAT with Your express consent to use certain information that is collected at the relevant time for the purposes that are specified at that time (e.g., to participate in surveys or promotional opportunities).
If You provide us with your consent, You can withdraw your consent at any time. Once we receive notification that You have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer retain or process Your personal information (subject to reasonable notice, any legal requirements, and similar exceptions). Note that if You choose to withdraw your consent, we may no longer be able to provide a product or service to You. If You wish to withdraw from other collections, uses or disclosures of Your personal information by CSAT please contact us (See “Contacting CSAT”).
Confidentiality of supplied information
In order to protect the security and confidentiality of any personally identifiable information supplied by CSAT or retained by CSAT (such as booking references related to Your travel with CSAT or Website passwords) You are responsible to ensure all such information is kept confidential by You.
Release and use of personal information
Except as is described in this Policy, CSAT will not use and will not disclose or provide Your personal information to any person. Below is the personal information we may collect (this list includes only some examples and is not exhaustive):
In some situations, CSAT may use or share facilities, or engage the services of other agencies or other transportation organizations to best serve You. For example, a particular airport may be required to provide information regarding a concern you have a claim you have brought forward.
To address corporate business requests or consumer complaints, or questions You may have about your services including discussions with our consultants for quality assurance purposes.
To review medical or reservation information to help us dispute your travel related concerns, should it be an accessibility concern we are addressing.
To law enforcement agencies or other third parties to the extent required by law or where CSAT reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to comply with the law.
In some situations, to law enforcement, immigration border control, customs agencies, public health agencies, and other government authorities as may be required by law. In these circumstances, it is not possible for You to opt-out. Information that may be collected or shared may be more extensive than the information used to book or confirm Your complaint or corporate request.
CSAT reserves the right to transfer any information submitted by You and retained by CSAT-to-CSAT affiliates to the extent necessary to perform requested services and provide requested information and to any third-party purchasers of, or successors to, CSAT ‘s business.
We may transfer Your personal information to service providers who support us with various functions including corporate organizations, information security, data storage, payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, and IT.
Your personal information can be transferred outside of the jurisdiction in which it was provided or collected. Our service providers may also access, use, or store Your personal information outside of the jurisdiction in which it was provided or collected by You. The laws of the jurisdiction will then apply to that information, including laws that may permit or require disclosing that information to government, courts and law enforcement.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Website, mobile and social media app security
CSAT will use reasonable efforts to protect Your information that You provide to CSAT, once it has been received by CSAT. Our website uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, an encryption technology used to encrypt information sent over the Internet. As with all technology, no data transmission over the Internet or system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while CSAT strives to protect Your personal information, CSAT cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information You provide, add or request to CSAT and You do so at Your own risk.
Links to other websites or apps
This Policy applies only to information collected by CSAT or supplied by You to CSAT. Although the Website and Mobile App will provide You with other websites or applications, this Policy does not apply to those websites or apps or to the other collection, use or disclosure of personal information by other persons.
How does CSAT protect Your personal information?
A breach of security safeguards can result in the risk of identity theft, for example. In these cases, we are legally responsible to act promptly to mitigate and remove the risks and to inform You where there is a real risk of significant harm, or as otherwise required by law.
How to unsubscribe
If You would like to be removed from our email list, You may opt out, by emailing csatinfo@csat1com, and requesting to be unsubscribed.
If You withdraw your consent to receive these electronic marketing communications, You will no longer receive any communication from CSAT, unless requested to obfuscate yourself, through the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) located here https://gdpr-info.eu/. We are required to provide you with a different form of communication so that your request to be forgotten has been completed.
Accessing and Correcting Your personal information
You have the right to access and correct Your personal information. You can make a formal access or correction request by contacting our Privacy Officer in writing to csatinfo@csat1.org.
Our response will be subject to verifying your identity. We will respond to your access or correction request within a reasonable time frame (but no later than 30 days from your request) pursuant to applicable laws.
If You demonstrate to us that Your personal information in our records is inaccurate or incomplete, we will amend the personal information as required. Where appropriate, we will transmit the amended information to third parties having access to Your personal information.
It is your responsibility to provide and maintain accurate and complete information.
Concerns regarding Your personal information
When You make a request to exercise your rights in relation to Your personal information or You make a complaint (csatinfo@csat1.org). We ask that You provide us with sufficient information so that we can properly address your request. Our response will be subject to verifying your identity. We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt unless otherwise allowed or required by law. We reserve the right to refuse to provide personal information where we are not legally required to do so.

Revisions to policy
CSAT reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time by posting an amended Policy on the Website. It is Your responsibility to review this Policy regularly and You are deemed to be aware of such amendments.
If significant material changes are made to the Policy, CSAT will use reasonable efforts to notify You of such changes on the Website and by such other means as CSAT determines is appropriate in the circumstances.
